Life On A Dead Tree
Life on a Dead Tree is a pocket-sized zine that responds to music visually, politically and analytically. It is curated and designed by young creatives from around Oxfordshire. Proceeds from the zine go towards the Young Women’s Music Project, a charity that provides an inclusive and supportive space for young women to make music together, helps them to learn new skills, express themselves, and grow in confidence.
BG Records was set up in 2010 as a opportunity for young local musicians to release records and be part of an artistic and musical community. BG has developed into the backbone of the urban music scene, encouraging young musicians to have a voice, running cyphers, releasing music, developing undiscovered talent and putting on special events at the Ashmolean, Pitt Rivers and Foundling Museums.
