Being an educator for YWMP has been one of the most rewarding experiences over the past few years, and I've loved sharing my skills and experiences, but also learning together with the young people.

YWMP is community, fearless music making, and uncompromising dedication to building a better future for young creatives in our city and beyond. I love sharing my big passion for diy recording, found sounds and songwriting in my role as YWMP educator.

Kat

YWMP is an incredible, safe and accepting space for people to share and develop their musicality. I am delighted to be joining them as an educator and facilitator.

I’ve been working with YWMP since 2004 as a young trainee on the project. I took on the management and direction of the project in 2009 shortly after Kate died. This project is a huge part of me, I feel very privileged to call it my job. Working with new educators, dedicated community stakeholders and the participants make it a very special place to be.

I've been a trustee and a staff member. Ultimately it comes down to being a number one fan of the people and the principle behind the project. Unwavering in their mission, YWMP is a perfect example of how a small organisation can make such a huge and long lasting impact. I'm thrilled to still be part of it.

Working for YWMP brings me so much joy. My role here is varied, from being an educator and facilitator, project manager, administrator - all of these hats I love wearing. YWMP creates a beautiful caring community of wonderful creatives and I’m happy to be a part of that.

Haley

I help coordinate the volunteers and deliveries for YWMP’s incredible WINGS project which seeks to tackle local period poverty. Being part of the YWMP team is so empowering and rewarding.
