I’ve been working with YWMP since 2004 as a young trainee on the project. I took on the management and direction of the project in 2009 shortly after Kate died. This project is a huge part of me, I feel very privileged to call it my job. Working with new educators, dedicated community stakeholders and the participants make it a very special place to be.

I’ve been very happy to provide a space for young people to explore music together. The Monday Hangouts are such an organic and comfortable space for young women, trans and non-binary people to try out new instruments, bring songs to the space and connect with others. Very honoured to occasionally facilitate these sessions.

YWMP is community, fearless music making, and uncompromising dedication to building a better future for young creatives in our city and beyond. I love sharing my big passion for diy recording, found sounds and songwriting in my role as YWMP educator.
Working for YWMP brings me so much joy. My role here is varied, from being an educator and facilitator, project manager, administrator - all of these hats I love wearing. YWMP creates a beautiful caring community of wonderful creatives and I’m happy to be a part of that.
I attended YWMP as a teenager growing up in Oxfordshire, returning as a volunteer in 2025 to develop the Safer Spaces Policy and open The Nest. This project holds a special place in my heart and I'm so excited to be working for such an important charity!

Being able to document the amazing work YWMP do is such a privilege. As a musician myself, I understand how important spaces like The Nest are to our community, and I’m inspired by my colleagues and the other wonderful creatives that make YWMP what it is.
Working with YWMP is the best! It's a huge joy to be able to combine my love and creativity in music with my heart and experience in youth work by leading some of the Monday hangout sessions and volunteering at the events :)
