I’ve been working with YWMP since 2004 as a young trainee on the project. I took on the management and direction of the project in 2009 shortly after Kate died. This project is a huge part of me, I feel very privileged to call it my job. Working with new educators, dedicated community stakeholders and the participants make it a very special place to be.
YWMP is community, fearless music making, and uncompromising dedication to building a better future for young creatives in our city and beyond. I love sharing my big passion for diy recording, found sounds and songwriting in my role as YWMP educator.

I’m excited to bring my energy and commitment to help YWMP continue creating a welcoming and inspiring community for young women and gender-queer people in their musical and creative expression. My role is very varied, from administrative support to volunteer coordination, as well as communications work and helping run the project day-to-day. It is a joy to be a part of such a great project!
Working for YWMP brings me so much joy. My role here is varied, from being an educator and facilitator, project manager, administrator - all of these hats I love wearing. YWMP creates a beautiful caring community of wonderful creatives and I’m happy to be a part of that.
